Our rooms décor mainly touches upon iconic elements of pre-Columbian Andean cultures. The prime rooms are for sure those three that include original and finest Accllahuasi walls, but if you are not lucky enough to find them available, we have a room with a view to the splendid dome of La Compañía church, and four of our rooms have a view to the Intik’ijjlu, the sacred street that links the Huacaypata with the spiritual center of the Inca Empire, the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun).

Tourist attractions in Cusco

Macchu Picchu

Machu Picchu built before the fifteenth century, located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru, in the Andes mountain range at 2430 meters above sea level. It is located in the Cusco region, province of Urubamba, district of Machupicchu, on the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 80 kilometers northwest of the city of Cusco, city of Peru and where the Urubamba River flows, a river that crosses the mountain range and originates a canyon with a tropical mountain climate. According to many scholars, its original name would have been Llaqtapata.

The mountain of the 7 Colors

The mountain of the 7 Colors The mountain of the 7 Colors (also called Vinicunca or simply 'rainbow') is one of the new and best attractions in Peru. Located more than 100 kilometers from the city of Cusco, on an altitude summit located 5,200 meters above sea level (m.s.n.m.) It is a mountainous formation dyed in various shades as a result of the complex combination of minerals. The slopes and summit are tinted a variety of hues including red, purple, green, yellow, pink, and other variations. This tourist attraction was surrounded by ice not many years ago.

Humantay Lake

Don’t forget to keep an eye out while hiking to the top as you might see condors flying above. You can hop on a day-long private tour from Cusco or the Sacred Valley to reach the lake, or opt to complete the Salkantay Trek, which will take you from Humantay all the way to Machu Picchu

The Salt Flats of Maras

The Salinas de Maras in Cusco, or salt mines of maras as they are also called, are salt mines whose exploitation is as old as Tahuantinsuyo. Located on the slope of the hill, the salt mine in the form of terraces or platforms is crossed by a stream that feeds the pools with salt water. The use of the Salt of Maras dates back thousands of years and is inherited in each family, but is managed communally. The name of the salt mine in Quechua is kachi Raqay and it is made up of some five thousand pools of about 5 square meters each, the water filters into the pools and evaporates due to the action of the intense sun, causing coarse salt crystals to sprout. After 1 month the salt reaches 10 cm. tall and has to be harvested.

The Qorikancha

the Qorikancha was the religious center of Cusco, geographical and political center. The Qorikancha temple was the place where he paid homage to the highest Inca god, the "Inti" (sun). "Qori" means worked gold, its Spanish form is cori. "Kancha" means enclosed place, limited by walls. Whence the name roughly corresponds to "enclosed place containing gold".
